Joe Ewart – Chief Executive Officer
Joe Ewart has been Chief Executive Officer of Editure since 2007 and a director of Editure since 2005. Mr. Ewart has driven the growth of Editure from primarily an Australian business to an international education company with operations in six counties. Prior to joining Editure, Mr Ewart was a Managing Director in investment banking at Goldman Sachs and a member of the Global M&A Leadership Group. Mr Ewart was a Managing Director and before that a Director in investment banking at Deutsche Bank. He was a Principal and Vice President in investment banking at BT Wolfensohn. Prior to that, Mr Ewart was also a Vice President at BT Alex.Brown and a Vice President at Bankers Trust Australia. Mr. Ewart is also Chairman of Avatar Academic. He started his career at Arthur Andersen and is a Chartered Accountant. He holds a Bachelors Degree from the University of Sydney, a Masters Degree from the University of NSW and is a Fellow of FINSIA.
Nick Grogan – Chief Financial Officer
Nick Grogan was appointed Chief Financial Officer in 2009. Prior to that Mr Grogan spent two years as head of corporate development for Editure. Mr Grogan has over 10 years experience across accounting and corporate finance working in a broad range of industries. Prior to joining Editure, Mr Grogan was an Associate Director with Hindal, an Australian boutique investment bank. During his time at Hindal, Mr Grogan specialised in negotiating business sales, providing strategic advice and managing capital raisings for large to medium size private and public businesses across a variety of industries, including ICT software, infrastructure, retail, property and printing services. Prior to his time with Hindal, Mr Grogan worked with KPMG in its Banking and Finance Group, working with clients such as NAB, Motorola and Multiplex. Mr Grogan has a Bachelor of Commerce degree, Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance & Investment (FINSA) and is a Chartered Accountant.
Jeff Vohden – President of Editure Professional Development
Jeff Vohden was appointed President of Editure’s Teacher Professional Development Division in 2007. Prior to that, he worked with the business as an external consultant and was instrumental in developing the marketing strategy for the business. Prior to joining Editure, he was Senior Vice President in Sales and Marketing at Pearson Learning (a division of Pearson Education the world’s largest education company). At Pearson he established alternative sales channels, a cross-discipline strategic sales team, and new procedures to improve efficiencies across sales and marketing. Mr Vohden was also Senior Vice President of Marketing at Prentice Hall where he directed the marketing activities for one of the nation’s largest and most successful educational publishers. He was also a Marketing Manager for Scholastic (a US listed education company) in the Instructional Publishing Group. Mr Vohden was a Vice President at Silver Burdett Ginn, a US educational publisher. He started his career as a high school biology teacher. Mr Vohden holds a Bachelor of Arts degree and a Masters of Business Administration degree.
Barrie Lambert – President of Editure Technology
Barrie Lambert was appointed President of the Editure Technology Division in 2008. Mr. Lambert was the Chief Financial Officer of Editure from 2005 to 2009. Prior to joining Editure, Mr Lambert was based in San Francisco, where he was Vice President, General Manager for Sephora, the largest specialty retailer of beauty products in the USA. In this role he was responsible for Sephora’s e-commerce and direct mail business. During his time at Sephora he previously held the roles of Chief Financial Officer and Operations Manager. Mr Lambert has over 20 years experience in finance roles across a number of industries, combined with several years in operations and general management. He has held senior positions with BHP, Coopers & Lybrand, Trusthouse Forte (UK), Merrill Lynch (UK) and The Adelaide Steamship Group of Companies. Mr Lambert holds a Bachelor of Arts (Accountancy) degree from the University of South Australia, Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Sydney and is a Chartered Accountant.
