New York, April 16, 2012 – Editure Professional Development and the Minnesota Rural Education Association (MREA) announced today a new partnership to help member school districts put the education, growth, and development of learners first to bring about the best possible future for all students.

“This new partnership will assist the 145 member school districts through cutting edge professional development and curriculum support for districts and educators now possible at a lower cost to member districts.” said Jeffrey Vohden, CEO of Editure Professional Development.”With collaboration at the heart of the partnership, member districts and educators can now collaborate across district lines and state-wide – often a tough challenge for rural districts separated by large distances.”

The Editure PD PRO Platform will include Editure’s Observation PRO and PD PRO Library to help district’s staff development initiatives by allowing districts a format to electronically gather data from formal and informal classroom observation and provide timely feedback to their teams. While at the same time developing staff learning plans and linking those plans back to research based professional learning content within the Editure PD Platform.

MREA Executive Director Fred Nolan says this partnership with Editure Professional Development will “help ensure that member school districts have access to the most effective and most current professional resources for collaboration. It will help our organization achieve its mission to put learners first, achieve equity, increase accountability, and encourage collaboration.”
